Ever since WWE announced the return of the brand split there have been quite a few rumors going around in regards to who might be returning. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter WWE is interested in bringing back Curt Hawkins and Jimmy Wang Yang.
Jimmy Wang Yang confirmed earlier this week on social media that he had a backstage meeting at Raw on Monday. He also teased some big news on Twitter.
Curt Hawkins of course worked for WWE for many years and even held the WWE Tag Team Championship once with Zack Ryder before he was released in 2014. He has been working at his own wrestling school as well as on the independent circuit and he also worked with TNA during the TNA vs. GFW feud last summer.
The idea behind bringing back former wrestlers is to use the more established guys to put over the younger guys.
It’s also being reported that WWE is interested in signing Lucha wrestlers Volada Jr. and Rush.
