Bray Wyatt was set to face Brock Lesnar last Saturday at WWE Roadblock, but the match was changed to a handicap match and Bray never tagged in. It was later reported by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Bray sat on the sidelines because he’s dealing with a “pretty significant” back injury.
Dave Meltzer talked more about the injury on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio and noted that Bray isn’t expected to miss an extended amount of time in the ring. WWE also reportedly has big plans for him following WrestleMania 32.
He mentioned that Bray Wyatt is set to be positioned as a top heel, and that there are still plans for him to do something with Brock Lesnar at some point. It was also noted that WWE plans to have Bray Wyatt feud with Roman Reigns once again.
Roman Reigns is set to face off against Triple H at WrestleMania 32 for the WWE Championship and it seems pretty likely he’s going to win. That makes the idea of Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns picking their feud back up a little more more interesting this time around. If Roman Reigns goes on to win the WWE Championship at WrestleMania, that means there’s at least a chance that the title could be involved when and/or if the rivalry is revisited.
Championship opportunities for Bray Wyatt have been few and far between since he made his debut on the WWE main roster in 2013. He previously fought for the WWE Championship in an 8 man Money in the Bank ladder match in 2014. But Bray has yet to challenge for the WWE Championship in a one on one match.
As of right now WWE has yet to announce any WrestleMania plans for Bray Wyatt or any other member of The Wyatt Family.
