Backstage News On Baron Corbin’s Unsuccessful Money In The Bank Cash-In Revealed

Not many people expected Baron Corbin to cash-in his Money in the Bank briefcase with only five days left until Summerslam. However, The Lone Wolf interfered in the main event match between John Cena and Jinder Mahal last night during SmackDown Live and took his chance.

Unfortunately for Corbin, a slight distraction from Cena was enough for Mahal to catch Baron by surprise and retain the WWE Title. Like Damien Sandow and John Cena before him, Baron Corbin has become the third man in WWE history to unsuccessfully cash-in the Money in the Bank contract, which is a surprise to most.

Many people believed that Corbin was receiving a massive push and it was possible for him to leave Brooklyn this weekend with the WWE Championship. However, it is now being reported by CageSideSeats that WWE officials may have lost their faith in Baron Corbin as a top guy.

Apparently, the powers that be weren’t pleased about him underperforming during his promos with John Cena. His social media activity has also rubbed some people the wrong way backstage in recent weeks. It might be a somber moment for Baron Corbin, but MITB is one of many ways to reach the top of the WWE ladder. He still has a match with John Cena this Sunday.
