Adam Cole is a three time Ring of Honor World Champion, and his ROH contract recently expired, so now he’s a free agent. It’s been rumored for months that WWE wants to sign Cole, but apparently they’re not the only ones interested in offering him a contract.
Dave Meltzer recently noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that “everyone wants Adam Cole right now.”
It was noted that Adam Cole signing with WWE isn’t necessarily a lock at this point, although Meltzer does believe that’s where the former ROH Champion will end up. New Japan Pro Wrestling is also interested in signing Cole as well. Adam Cole is still booked for the ROH War Of The Worlds show on May 12th, and it’s possible that he may end up working more events for ROH despite the fact that his contract is expired, unless he ends up signing a WWE deal soon.
Adam Cole noted during a recent interview that he does his business himself, and that he doesn’t plan on rushing into anything.
“A lot of people think that’s crazy,” Cole said. “Some people do have agents. Some people do have guys that deal with things like that for them. For me, I’ve always handled my business myself. It gets very overwhelming sometimes, but that’s the scenario you’re put in sometimes. I do everything by myself.”
