However, the belief among the majority of people they spoke to was that Tony Khan would not work his own talent.
It was said to be “business as usual,” at this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite with one talent saying that the situation was a reminder that this is pro wrestling and life goes on. People who spoke with Fightful noted that nothing was out of the ordinary, and that it’s not expected that WWE will try to ignore or erase the existence of Cody Rhodes.
The prevailing belief in WWE is that Cody Rhodes fell out of power in AEW and wanted a significant raise, but that hasn’t been confirmed by AEW or Cody. There is excitement and shock among WWE talent, and several top stars are reportedly ready to welcome Cody back to WWE with open arms.
