Backstage Details On WWE Dropping Plans For Title Feud For Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns has been the Universal Champion ever since he won the belt at the Payback pay-per-view back in September, and everyone is waiting to see who will step up and challenge The Tribal Chief next.

A few months ago it seemed that WWE was teasing a possible Bray Wyatt vs. Roman Reigns feud, but fans never got a follow up.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has confirmed a report from Ringside News noting that WWE dropped the Wobbly Walrus character from Firefly Fun House because it was a spoof on Paul Heyman.

Originally the character was supposed to be used for the Wyatt vs. Reigns feud, but the plans were dropped when WWE decided to keep Wyatt away from Reigns and put him on Raw instead.

There are said to be forces behind the scenes working to protect Roman Reigns from bad booking, and it was thought that a feud with Bray Wyatt would do him no favors.
