It’s been quite the year for WWE as the company has released a number of talents and office employees, and the wrestling world was shocked earlier today when it was announced that Bray Wyatt had been released.
According to F4Wonline.com Bray Wyatt was told by John Laurinaitis that he was being released due to budget cuts. It was also noted that Wyatt was preparing to return in August and that he was booked on some upcoming shows.
Bray Wyatt last competed at WrestleMania 37 when he was defeated by Randy Orton in the opening match of Night 2. He made his final appearance on WWE programming the next night on Raw when he appeared in a Firefly Fun House segment.
Wyatt joined WWE in 2009 and was later called up to the main roster as the leader of The Wyatt Family in 2013. During his run with WWE he became a one time WWE Champion, a two time Universal Champion, a one time SmackDown Tag Team Champion, and a one time Raw Tag Team Champion.
