Shane McMahon made his return to WWE during the 30 man Royal Rumble match last weekend, and it seemed that Shane was set for another run on WWE TV. It was reported that plans called for Shane to work as a heel on Raw, and he was also planned to be part of Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania 38.
However, it was recently reported that Shane McMahon was dealing with backstage heat after he worked as a producer for the men’s Royal Rumble match, and now some new details regarding his departure have come to light.
Wade Keller of PWTorch recently discussed Shane McMahon’s WWE departure and he claimed that Shane disagreed with how Vince McMahon wanted to use him following the Royal Rumble, so Vince completely canceled all plans for his son.
“But the issue with Shane really got to the next level with Vince when it came to what was planned for Raw and that Shane had real problems with how he was going to be framed as he was going to be in the Elimination Chamber. And so, Shane disagreed with what Vince wanted to do and how he wanted to do it. It was laid out to Shane what the plans were and he didn’t like it, and he pushed back and that led to Vince just finally having enough and canceling all plans with Shane, everything that they have planned with him.”
