Backstage Details On Why Vince McMahon Approved Chris Jericho’s Appearance On Broken Skull Sessions

For many years Chris Jericho was a WWE star, but right now he’s currently one of the top names in All Elite Wrestling. Despite the fact that Chris Jericho is under contract with AEW, it was recently announced that he will be appearing on the next episode of Broken Skull Sessions with Steve Austin which premieres on Sunday.

Many people were shocked when the announcement was made, and Steve Austin revealed in an interview that he had to pitch the idea to Vince McMahon himself.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter it was reported that Vince McMahon’s decision to give the Jericho appearance the green light was all about timing.

The appearance is being seen as a great business move due to the timing of WWE’s debut on Peacock. It was noted that if this idea had been pitched six months before, or six months after the Peacock debut then it probably wouldn’t be happening.
