Sting has been one of the biggest names in professional wrestling for decades now, and he recently made his debut with All Elite Wrestling during the special Winter Is Coming edition of Dynamite.
It was confirmed shortly after that the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion had signed a multi-year contract with the company.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that one of the many factors that played into Sting signing with AEW is that Tony Khan made a deal with him that he can leave on his own terms.
It’s also being said that the idea is to use Sting to build younger talent.
During his WWE Hall of Fame induction speech in 2016 Sting announced his retirement from in-ring competition, but it was recently reported that he will be returning to action in AEW. You can get more on that here.
