It’s been a few months since fans have seen Daniel Bryan make an appearance on WWE programming, and it doesn’t sounds like he will be returning anytime soon because it was recently reported that Bryan has signed a deal with AEW.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Daniel Bryan’s decision to sign with AEW over WWE came down to which company would allow him to wrestle in Japan. It’s also being reported that he was only in talks with AEW, WWE and NJPW.
Following Daniel Bryan’s departure it was reported that WWE President Nick Khan was in talks with NJPW about WWE becoming the company’s partner in the United States, and that Bryan was involved in the negotiations.
At this point it’s not clear when Daniel Bryan will be appearing on AEW programming, but there are said to be plans in place for his debut.
