WrestleMania 38 was quite the spectacle and even though WrestleMania 39 won’t be taking place until next year it sounds like Vince McMahon already has plans in mind for the big event.
Recently WWE released a commercial for the upcoming Money in the Bank pay-per-view which got people talking as it featured Cody Rhodes saying, “One lucky male and female Superstar will win the chance to main event WrestleMania.”
The comment has created a lot of speculation regarding plans for the Money in the Bank contracts. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that some people in the company thought the wording in the commercial was a mistake, but WWE continued to air the same commercial without editing the line out. The only company word on the stipulation for the Money in the Bank contracts is that there’s nothing definitive either way.
It’s also being reported that Vince McMahon currently has plans in place for top matches at WrestleMania 39, and the plans don’t include putting the Money in the Bank winners in the title matches. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
