Backstage Details On The Reaction To John Laurinaitis Returning To Talent Relations In WWE

It was recently reported that John Laurinaitis has returned to the position of Head of Talent Relations, and that he will be reporting to WWE Executive Vice President of Operations Brad Blum.

Now Fightful Select is reporting that several wrestlers are concerned about the fact that Laurinaitis is returning to the role. One wrestler noted that they are worried because in the past John Laurinaitis has embraced WWE Diva type talents over solid in-ring workers, and there’s concern that he will use similar hiring practices moving forward.

John Laurinaitis will be taking over talent relations duties from Mark Carrano. It’s also being reported that while Carrano was said to be easy to get along with, talents felt he was hard to trust, especially after the cuts WWE made last year.

A lot of trust within the company has “eroded” due to the cuts last year.

Several wrestlers who were released last year were reportedly given long term promises from Mark Carrano, which is one of the reasons why talents are uneasy about trusting him.
