Now that the Survivor Series pay-per-view has come and gone all eyes are looking ahead to the TLC pay-per-view next month, and then of course we’ll be moving on to the Royal Rumble which will kick off the road to WrestleMania.
Roman Reigns has been a huge part of the title picture on SmackDown for months now, and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that as of earlier this week WWE officials were leaning toward a Daniel Bryan vs. Roman Reigns Universal Championship match for the Royal Rumble.
The idea is to book the match for the Royal Rumble, and have something else for the TLC PPV, but there’s currently nothing set up. Daniel Bryan being part of the main event was said to have very much been part of the conversations.
Last week on Friday Night SmackDown Daniel Bryan returned to the ring and got revenge on Jey Uso for attacking him several weeks ago when he picked up a win over Uso.
Stay tuned for updates on the Royal Rumble PPV as they become available.
