This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw featured a title match in the main event which saw Rhea Ripley defend the WWE Women’s World Title against Raquel Rodriguez. Ripley retained the belt after Nia Jax returned and attacked Raquel Rodriguez, then Nia Jax attacked Rhea Ripley.
Fightful Select reports that Nia Jax has been signed for over a month and the hiring freeze in WWE effectively ended over the summer. Jax is the first signing to return to main roster TV since Vince McMahon made his return to the company back in January.
The WWE-Endeavor merger is expected to take plave this week, but it’s being said that the timing is unrelated to Nia Jax returning to TV. Several people within the company reportedly thought that Nia Jax would be returning before this week.
Originally Nia Jax was released from WWE in 2021. She did not wrestle for other promotions over the last few years, but she did make a surprise return when she entered the women’s Royal Rumble match back in January.
