Roman Reigns returned to the WWE a few weeks ago, but he’s already had a huge impact on the Friday Night SmackDown brand.
The Big Dog is currently the top star on the brand, as he holds the Universal Championship, and he’s also got Paul Heyman by his side.
Reigns is currently set to face his cousin Jey Uso at the Clash of Champions pay-per-view later this month, and the Universal Title will be on the line.
It was noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the match was booked to establish Reigns as a stronger heel character.
It seems that Roman is being booked to pick up quick wins that will establish him as a big star in the Brock Lesnar position, with the idea being that he will work much more frequently, and be more cost-effective.
