Last week’s episode of AEW Rampage featured CM Punk’s return to wrestling at the United Center, and Punk’s AEW debut was a big moment that go the wrestling world talking.
Fightful Select reports that most of the AEW roster didn’t know that Punk was going to be at Rampage until he actually showed up at the United Center in Chicago. For weeks there was talk of Punk’s return but it was never confirmed for the roster by Tony Khan as Punk was simply listed as “guest.”
CM Punk was smiling and happy backstage, and he was said to have been easy to talk to and get along with. Punk was not kept hidden from anyone, and he took pictures with people from the AEW roster before he made his debut on TV.
CM Punk has been confirmed for tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
