Last week on Friday Night SmackDown, AJ Styles shocked the world when he returned to TV and made his first appearance on the show in months. Styles attacked Roman Reigns, but he also seemingly turned heel when he attacked LA Knight.
Fightful Select reports that even though Styles attacked LA Knight last week he might not be moving forward with a full-fledged heel turn. Sources have told Fightful’s Corey Brennan that right now the plan is for AJ Styles to be somewhat justified when it comes to him attacking LA Knight.
Another source reportedly said that it’s a bit of a “choose your own adventure” situation when it comes to The Phenomenal One. However, it’s always possible that creative plans for AJ Styles will change.
AJ Styles will be appearing for an in-ring promo tonight on SmackDown and WWE is promoting his return to the ring as well as he’s set to go one on one with Solo Sikoa.
