Brock Lesnar is usually involved in one of the top feuds heading into WrestleMania season, but The Beast Incarnate hasn’t been seen since he dropped the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36 last year.
Dave Meltzer noted in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Brock Lesnar is not currently under contract with WWE, and he’s not scheduled to be at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view on Sunday.
It was reported back in August that Brock Lesnar’s contract with WWE had expired. He is currently a free agent.
At this point it’s not clear when fans might see Lesnar on WWE programming again, but Triple H recently discussed his status during an interview with the Hindustan Times.
“One of the things I have learnt about him is Brock Lesnar does what Brock Lesnar wants to do. Nobody can talk him into doing things differently. So time will tell. If wants to show up at WrestleMania he will, if he doesn’t he won’t. The only way to get that answer is to call Brock Lesnar.”
