Awesome Kong was making headlines last week after she was sent home early from TNA’s UK tour. Kong got into an altercation with Matt Hardy’s wife Reby Sky in the locker room. Kong reportedly wasn’t happy about the fact that Sky was changing in the same area as the rest of the TNA Knockouts so she removed her bag from the room.
The story goes that Kong then attacked Sky and they had to be separated by TNA producer Pat Kenney. Hardy’s son was also said to have been close to the incident when it happened. It was speculated that Kong would face some sort of disciplinary action for the incident and she announced that that she’s been released.

Awesome Kong had previously been released from TNA following an incident with Bubba the Love Sponge back in 2010.
TNA posted the following as a response to her release:
“We conducted an investigation and determined releasing Awesome Kong is the appropriate action in this case. Kong has been a great contributor to TNA and helped solidify the Knockouts as the best female division in professional wrestling. We thank her and wish her well.”
