Thursday night as wrestling fans around the world were celebrating 3/16, the stars of NXT took over the Ocala area for a night of fun filled action.
Kassius Ohno started off the night on the right foot. Ohno has been jerking the curtain at a lot of these NXT events recently which shows how much they trust him to start a show off right. He always brings an enthusiasm that lasts the entire night.
Patrick Clark also scored a victory at last night’s show in Ocala. It’s great to see him getting these wins as he inches his way closer and closer to being featured on NXT’s television product. This kid has a future in the professional wrestling business.
Takeover: Orlando will feature a triple threat tag-team elimination match for those awesome looking NXT Tag Team Championships between #DIY, The Revival, and Authors of Pain. Last night in Ocala, they mixed it up by splitting up two of those teams and having them square off in singles matches.
The Greatest Man That Ever Lived was in Ocala last night and he took on the Premier Athlete. The winner of this match was a no-brainer, but it’s good to see A Double making some waves in NXT as he prepares for his WrestleMania moment against Neville.
Oh yeah, and did we mention Hideo Itami showed up to hit a GTS? Yeah, that happened too. The former Kenta hasn’t wrestled an actual match since his return, he’s only appeared twice at this point for a surprise Go To Sleep, but the fact he’s making his way to the ring at all is a really good sign.
All in all, it looks like it was a pretty good night underneath the big top for NXT action.
