Soon WWE Mixed Match Challenge will kick off on Facebook Watch after SmackDown Live on January 16, and so far the tournament has put together some interesting teams.
However, the most interesting pair was announced today.
WWE recently confirmed that former Intercontinental Champion The Miz would be returning to Raw this week, and Miz is already running his loud mouth. WWE announced that The Miz will be teaming with Asuka in the Mixed Match Challenge.
WWE shared a video showing The Miz arriving at the arena and he immediately went into promo mode, then he waited for his partner to be revealed. It was then that Asuka got out of a limousine and approached Miz.
Miz said that Asuka is exactly who he wanted to he his partner, and he got excited as he told her that they’re going to win, and he’s going to make her a Superstar.
This is certainly an interesting pairing to say the least, as they have two very different styles, so we’ll just have to wait and see how this works out.
So far other teams that have been confirmed for the tournament include Nia Jax & Apollo Crews, Sasha Banks & Finn Balor, Alexa Bliss & Braun Strowman, Lana & Rusev, Jimmy Uso & Naomi.
