Asuka has been one of the top stars in the WWE women’s division for years now, but she’s currently out of action due to injury. Originally Asuka was set to compete in the Queen of the Ring tournament this month. However, she was pulled as it was announced that she was not medically cleared to compete.
Recently Asuka posted a new video on her YouTube channel and she shared an update on her status while revealing that she’s currently dealing with a knee injury.
”After Backlash and the European tour, I had to take a break to treat my knee that I had been hurting for a while. My partners Kairi and Dakota helped me a lot during this tour as I could not move at my best. I am very grateful to both of them.”
Asuka last competed at WWE Backlash France when she and Kairi Sane dropped the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship to Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair. There’s currently no word on when she could be back in action, but at the end of her new video the words “see you soon” appear on the screen.
