Asuka is force to be reckoned with in NXT, and she’s the current NXT Women’s Champion. The NXT star has been on a roll since making her debut with the company, and she recently reached a huge milestone when she surpassed Goldberg’s historic undefeated streak from his WCW days.
According to Blasting News, Asuka’s undefeated streak currently consists of 163 wins. The number of wins Goldberg racked up during his infamous streak was claimed to be 173 by WCW officials, but it’s no big secret that the number was inflated over time. Goldberg actually won 155 matches during his streak, which means Asuka’s streak is technically longer.
It’s likely that the NXT star will surpass the kayfabe number of 173 over the next few weeks.
Asuka has been retweeting positive messages from fans acknowledging her streak, and one fan pointed out another impressive stat regarding her reign with the NXT Women’s Title which she has held for 387 days as of this writing.
Not only is Asuka the longest reigning Women’s Champion in NXT history, she is currently the longest reigning champion overall in the history of the brand.
Fans have been waiting a long time to see the Empress of Tomorrow on the main roster, but if she keeps gong at this pace she may just have to vacate the NXT Women’s Championship before she makes the jump.
