Asuka is a special talent, and she’s the type of wrestler that you can’t help but pay attention to when she’s in the ring. She constantly pushes herself and her opponents to the limit in her attempt to make history and break records.
Asuka is the current NXT Women’s Champion, and she also happens to be undefeated. Her NXT Women’s Title reign has been nothing short of historic, and a few months ago she surpassed Goldberg’s incredible win streak from his WCW days.
The Empress of Tomorrow has a reputation for breaking records, and she recently broke another one when she surpassed Rockin’ Robin’s 502 day title reign as WWF Women’s Champion.
She is now the longest reigning WWE Champion of the modern era, only falling behind old school title records held by Bruno Sammartino, Hulk Hogan, Bob Backlund and Pedro Morales which will likely never be broken at this point.
It’s crazy to think that The Empress of Tomorrow has managed to break so many records already as she has yet to make her debut on the WWE main roster.
Former WWE Universal Champion Bill Goldberg took to Twitter to congratulate Asuka and he noted that he’ll be watching NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III on Saturday.
Kevin Nash also chimed in and reminded Goldberg that he knows a thing or two about breaking streaks.
