Ariel Helwani appeared on Friday Night SmackDown this week and he stood in the crowd among the people as he hyped up the Elimination Chamber premium live event. Tony Khan felt the need to comment on the fact that Helwani appeared on WWE programming when he called Helwani a fraud then said he’s as legitimate of a reported as Tony Schiavone. Helwani has since responded and he called Tony Khan a “snowman” when he posted the following reply:
“Thanks for watching, old friend! Can’t wait for our next chat.
(Also, don’t listen to the snowman, Schiavone. You’re a legend in my books.)”
Tony Khan kept the conversation going when he responded to Ariel Helwani and tweeted, “Good luck with the unbiased journalism.”
Tony Khan and Ariel Helwani have had somewhat of a contentious relationship since last fall when Helwani interviewed Tony Khan then later called the interview frustrating as he felt that Tony didn’t provide many answers to his questions. Now it seems that the SmackDown appearance has created an even bigger divide between Khan and Helwani, so we’ll have to see if Helwani actually does end up interviewed Tony Khan again at some point in the future.
