It’s been a great trip for Teddy Long, playa. He’s been a referee, manager, and a GM all while calling the shots with his signature swagger. Long is headed to the WWE Hall of Fame this year and it’s a long time coming too.
During his tenure as General Manager of Smackdown, Teddy loved booking tag team matches. Therefore, it is more than fitting that a tag team induct him into the WWE Hall of Fame. WWE has officially announced that the Acolyte Protection Agency will induct Teddy Long into the WWE Hall of Fame on March 31.
Both John Bradshaw Layfield and Ron “Farooq” Simmons spent many nights on the road with Teddy Long. We’re sure their induction will have to be greatly censored in order to meet approval, but that’s okay because it’s going to be plenty good enough as it is in a TV-PG context.
While General Manager of Smackdown, Long had many angles with JBL on and off screen that will go down as some of the most entertaining bits the two legends participated in.
We’re really glad Teddy Long is getting his date in the Hall of Fame, and even more glad the APA will be there to usher him in.
