WWE has released quite a few stars over the past week. For those of you that haven’t been keeping track, Damien Sandow, the Brooklyn Brawler, King Barrett, Alex Riley, Cameron, El Torito, Hornswoggle, Santino Marella and Zeb Colter have all been released.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter WWE also released Christian from his contract. It’s being reported that Christian’s release had nothing to do with the Edge & Christian Show but it’s more of a technicality of no longer having an active performer’s contract. Christian hasn’t wrestled since March of 2014 and due to his history with concussions WWE considers him retired. Christian was working under a performer’s contract up until now but he is still affiliated with WWE.
It’s also rumored that more releases are coming and it was noted by the Observer that several internal lists have been going around and two names on the list are Ryback and Adam Rose. On Wednesday morning Adam Rose was arrested on charges of domestic battery and tampering with a witness. Rose has been serving out the remainder of his 60 day suspension for a WWE Wellness Policy violation, but following the arrest WWE announced that he has been suspended indefinitely.
