The stars of WWE Monday Night Raw are set to get “extreme” in just a few weeks when the annual Extreme Rules pay-per-view airs on the WWE Network. WWE fans know that Extreme Rules is usually loaded with gimmick matches, and a stipulation was added to the Raw Tag Team Championship match on this week’s show.
Matt Hardy took on Sheamus in a one on one match, and it was announced beforehand that the winner of the contest would be allowed to pick the stipulation for the title match at Extreme Rules.
In the end Matt Hardy managed to pick up the win for his team after Jeff Hardy dove onto Cesaro on the outside which caused Sheamus to get distracted. Sheamus then turned around and walked into a Twist of Fate from Matt Hardy.
Matt then announced that they would defend the Raw Tag Team Titles against Sheamus and Cesaro in a steel cage match at Extreme Rules.
