The WWE Women’s Revolution has been in full swing with plenty of amazing firsts along the way. Whether it was a Hell In A Cell match or the Royal Rumble, the women of WWE have been striving to be seen as equals and all that hard work has paid off big time at this point.
With so much attention on the women of WWE, it has not only meant new ventures in advertising and marketing, but it has also provided endless amounts of inspiration around the world for girls looking up to their favorite WWE Superstars. These women are trailblazers embarking on something that will be seen as revolutionary. Although it is always important to remember all the Divas along the way that brought them to this point one two-minute match at a time.
It has been rumored for a while that since the Women’s Royal Rumble is happening, then a Women’s Elimination Chamber match seems like the next logical step. Well, it looks like that is actually becoming a reality.
It was first reported by Pro Wrestling Sheet a while ago and if you’re going to judge anything by the T-Mobile Arena’s advertising for the event, it appears there will be two Elimination Chamber matches this year.
In the advertisement, they ask fans “which of the 12 Raw WWE Superstars will make it inside?” Seeing how there are only 6 participants in an Elimination Chamber match they’re either having two of them or the T-Mobile Arena’s social media team doesn’t know the rules of the contest very well.
The fact that Alexa Bliss is featured on the promo imagine alongside Samoa Joe is also a pretty good indication that we’ll see a Women’s Elimination Chamber match as well. On another note, it looks like Samoa Joe might be back by then. Of course none of this is anything official and possibly not a WWE directive at all, but it’s certainly an interesting development.
We’ll know more as WWE makes things official but don’t be surprised if the Women’s Royal Rumble isn’t the only monumental moment for WWE women’s pro wrestling in 2018.
