Recently the 2024 WWE Draft was held on SmackDown and Raw and some interesting moves were made. Several NXT stars ended up joining the WWE main roster and now it seems that another name will be getting called up in the near future.
Fightful Select reports that NXT ring announcer Alicia Taylor is set to get called up to the WWE main roster following Backlash. The plan is for Mike Rome to take over as the ring announcer for NXT imminently.
Alicia Taylor has been ring announcing for NXT since 2019 and has also filled in on main roster shows. As of right now there’s currently no word on which brands Alicia Taylor and Samantha Irvin will be ring announcing for moving forward.
