Over the weekend Andrade had been making headlines as it was reported that the former WWE United States Champion had parted ways with the company. Andrade’s profile has officially been moved to WWE’s alumni section which indicates that he is done.
Andrade recently took to social media to share his first post following his WWE departure. The post shows a photo of a note which simply reads “thank you” and the caption on the post features the #WWE hashtag.
He also posted the following on X:
Thank you WWE!!!
— “EL IDOLO” ANDRADE (@AndradeElIdolo) September 15, 2025
Andrade first signed with WWE in 2015, and he remained with the company until he was released in 2021. Shortly after he was released from WWE, Andrade jumped to AEW. However, he finished up with AEW at the end of 2023 and returned to WWE in January of 2024.
It was recently reported that Andrade had effectively been released from WWE and his departure was not a mutual decision. It was also reported that Andrade had at least one wellness policy violation during his latest run with the company, and that he was let go due to a disciplinary issue.
As of this writing it’s not clear what Andrade’s next move will be, but Fightful Select recently reported that the belief is a potential AEW return wouldn’t be impossible.
Stay tuned for updates.
