Business has picked up for TNA Wrestling as the promotion’s flagship show, Impact, moved to a brand new network when it premiered on AMC last month.
In a recent Fightful Select Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp noted that he hasn’t heard anything even remotely negative coming out of AMC regarding TNA Wrestling so far. There were reportedly a lot of AMC employees at the TNA Impact debut episode on AMC and it’s being said that they seemed to have had a good time.
Matt Hardy recently talked about AMC’s reaction to TNA Impact so far during an interview with Reel Appreciation and he noted that the people in the company were blown away by the first and second live episode that were filmed in Albuquerque.
“One thing that has been great about it is, AMC has never ventured into any kind of sports before. They’ve never done any live programming. So this is all new for them. They’re through and through a movie channel. But the people at AMC were so blown away by the first live episode and the second live episode we did in Albuquerque. For them just to witness the chaos that goes into a two-hour show with all these different wrestlers and all these different moving pieces, like they were thrilled about it.”
