The second WWE women’s Royal Rumble match took place on Sunday night, and much like every other Royal Rumble match in history, it featured some surprise appearances.
NXT star Xia Li was the first surprise entrant to make her way into the match and she entered at number 11. She was later eliminated by Charlotte Flair who entered the match at number 13.
Former NXT Women’s Champion Kairi Sane then entered the match at number 14.
Maria Kanellis entered at number 15.
NXT star Candice LeRae entered at number 17.
Former American Ninja Warrior champion and current NXT Superstar Kacy Catanzaro entered the match at number 18.
Io Shirai entered the match at number 23.
The first ever NXT UK Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley then entered at number 24.
Zelina Vega hid under the ring for most of the match, but from time to time she would peak her head out to see what was going on. At one point Hornswoggle also popped up from under the ring, and he chased her into the ring.
After Zelina Vega was eliminated, Hornswoggle chased her to the back.
During the kickoff show, Lana was knocked off the apron, so as she attempted to enter the match at number 28, she sold an ankle injury as she limped to the ring. She had to stop while making her entrance and the medical staff checked on her. The fans chanted “we want Becky.”
Nia Jax then came out at number 29 and destroyed Lana before she could enter the match.
After Carmella entered at number 30, Becky Lynch came out and told Finlay she’s taking Lana’s spot, he agreed and let her enter the match.
It came down to Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair, and Becky managed to win the match when she eliminated Charlotte.
