Earlier this year All Elite Wrestling was officially announced, and right away the company made it clear that AEW is for everyone.
All Elite Wrestling is a company that celebrates diversity, and after Double or Nothing Cody Rhodes spoke to the media about being in an interracial marriage.
Rhodes told the press that diversity will be a way of life in AEW, and not a publicity stunt.
He also shared a story about a moment he shared with his wife, Brandi Rhodes, when he said, “I told Brandi one time that I don’t see color and she said ‘well, then you don’t see my experience.’”
The comments caught the attention of congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who responded with the following:
“This exchange is a promising peek into what growth looks like in our national discourse on race. Thanks for sharing your experience in this powerful moment, @CodyRhodes.”
