Yesterday WWE released a number of talents, but one of the things that surprised fans the most was that former Universal Champion Braun Strowman was let go. Strowman had been one of the company’s top stars for a few years now, and he seemed to fit in well wherever he was needed.
The Monster Among Men and Alexa Bliss certainly aren’t strangers, as they captured the hearts of fans when they teamed up to compete in WWE’s Mixed Match Challenge in 2018. Bliss also played a role in the Bray Wyatt vs. Braun Strowman feud last year.
Alexa Bliss reacted to Braun Strowman’s release when she posted a broken heart emoji along with the word “terrible.”
Following Braun Strowman’s release it was reported that the former champion had signed a “monster deal” in 2019 worth over a million dollars a year that would have seen him stay with the company through 2023.
Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
