A few days ago Alexa Bliss posted a heartbreaking message on Instagram noting that her pet pig Larry-Steve had fallen ill, and that she was in search of an emergency very.
Unfortunately Larry-Steve did not make it, and the former Raw Women’s Champion took to Instagram yesterday to confirm that her beloved pet had passed away.
“Hi, I just wanted to get on here and say thank you to everyone who has reached out about Larry and to let everyone know that I really appreciate the amount of support,” Bliss said in the video. “And people who have called and texted, I will get back to you, I just can’t yet because we’re still trying to wrap our heads around what happened.”
In her original emergency message Bliss noted that it can sometimes be hard to find a vet who wants to work with pigs, and she encouraged people in animal service to help animals regardless of their size.
“I just wanted to say to any animal care person or vet, no matter how big an animal is or how different they are… please help them. I hope Larry’s story helps open people’s eyes to the realities of having animals around his size. And I just want people to, you know, do better.”
Bliss also noted that she will be celebrating Larry’s birthday, and she’s considering raising money to be donated to an animal rescue charity.
