It’s been a while since fans have seen Alexa Bliss in a WWE ring, but in recent weeks WWE has been promoting her return with a series of vignettes on Monday Night Raw. The vignettes show Alexa Bliss in therapy, and fans have speculated for months now that Bliss could be dropping her supernatural style gimmick and reverting back to The Goddess character.
Speculation only intensified when it was revealed that WWE filed to trademark “The Goddess” with the USPTO last week, but Alexa Bliss seemingly indicated that the gimmick will not be returning when she posted the following on Twitter:
“I like to evolve & always move forwards… never taking steps back🖤”
Alexa Bliss last competed when she challenged Charlotte Flair for the Raw Women’s Championship at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view back in September of last year. Bliss failed to win the title and she then proceeded to take some time off.
Even though WWE has been airing vignettes promoting Alexa’s return it’s not clear at this point in time when she will return to the ring. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
