Alexa Bliss Opens Up About Her Battle With Anorexia

WWE has uploaded a new video highlighting the life and family of Smackdown Women’s Champion, Alexa Bliss. The cameras traveled to Bliss’ home of Columbus, Ohio and interviewed her family about what it was like having a future WWE Women’s Champion in the family.

The mini-documentary features Bliss’ youth and her ascent into sports from softball to kickboxing to all-star cheerleading to WWE superstar (quite an evolution for Little Miss Bliss).

Alexa goes into what it was like growing up in a strict household that instilled discipline and taught her what it takes to succeed.

The video takes a very serious turn rather quickly as it delves into Alexa’s past difficulties suffering from the eating disorder anorexia that nearly killed her. Her mother never left her side and was a constant shoulder for her to lean on during one of the most difficult points of her young life.

In spite of all of her health problems, Alexa bounced back and excelled to the best of her ability through the constant struggle of her eating disorder. The Five Feet of Fury tells a story of strength and determination as she was able to turn her disorder around to compete in fitness competitions that eventually elevated her to the current heights where we know her today.

One of the best parts of the mini-documentary comes when Bliss’ mother tells the story about when Alexa told her she wanted to be a WWE superstar to which her mother replied, “The hell you are.”

Alexa persevered in developmental without having any previous wrestling experience and quickly became one of the highlights of NXT and subsequently the Smackdown roster.

It’s a great video that is not only inspiring but highly entertaining. We’re putting it in the area below because you guys are awesome and deserve it.
