SummerSlam kicked off in a big way as Jey Uso & Roman Reigns picked up a win over Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed in the opening match. The action continued with the second match as Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss challenged Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
As the match kicked off Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss argued over who would start the match as Raquel & Roxanne attacked them from behind. Shortly after Charlotte officially tagged in and Raquel & Roxanne isolated her in the corner.
Eventually Alexa got the tag and unloaded on Roxanne Perez. Bliss went for the Sister Abigail DDT, but Roxanne raked her eyes while the referee wasn’t looking. She attempted to hit Twisted Bliss off the top and Roxanne put her knees up to counter. They isolated Bliss again, but she managed to get the tag and Charlotte did a crossbody off the top to take out Raquel & Roxanne. The Queen followed up with a moonsault off the top on both of her opponents.
Charlotte tried to put Raquel away with the Figure 8 as Roxanne broke up the pin. Raquel was talking trash to Charlotte as Alexa tried to hit Raquel from behind. However, Raquel got out of the way and Alexa accidentally hit Charlotte instead. Raquel followed up with a Tahana Bomb then tagged in Raquel who hit Pop Rox. Alexa Bliss managed to make the save as the broke up the pin the dragged Charlotte to the corner so she could tag in.
Alexa set Roxanne up for the Sister Abigail DDT. Charlotte looked on from behind her and it was teased that Charlotte was going to get revenge on Alexa. Instead Charlotte hit Raquel with a big boot as Alexa connected with the Sister Abigail DDT on Roxanne and pinned her to win the belts.
