Paige confirmed on her Snapchat account a few weeks ago that she was single once again, ahead of her WWE return, but that hasn’t stopped her former fiancé from commenting on the British star’s impactful return last week following a year on the sidelines after career-threatening neck surgery.
The former World Champion recently spoke to The Mirror Sport and seemed happy that the former Divas Champion was back on national TV:
“It’s fantastic. It was just about time. I used to say this all the time, people forget that she had neck surgery, screws behind her neck and it takes time. That’s the reason why she was out of the business.”
He continued: “It takes time to recover from something like that and then she started working really, really hard for her big comeback and now she is there. She is doing what she has been doing since the beginning of her career, or since the beginning of her career in WWE, she is killing it.
Del Rio is right on that aspect, Paige has definitely made sure that the WWE Universe is aware that she has returned and brought two NXT hard-hitters with her. Paige’s team that is now called Absolution has definitely left their mark on the Raw Women’s Division over the past two weeks, but it seems that the former WWE superstar believes that there is more to come.
“She is doing a fantastic job and I’ve said it before and I will say it again, she has all the potential to be the most successful diva of all time. We have to give her time.”
