The Royal Rumble has come and gone and now WrestleMania season is upon us. So far only a few matches have been announced for WWE’s biggest show of the year, but in the coming weeks the card will start to fall into place.
AJ Styles has been holding his own on Raw as of late now that he’s back to working in singles competition, and during a recent appearance on Out of Character with Ryan Satin The Phenomenal One noted that he has a very specific opponent in mind for WrestleMania.
“Everybody has in mind the same guy that I do. We have the same idea. Will it happen? That’s not up to us. So we’ll do what’s asked of us, we just hope we get the opportunity before both of us retire.”
At this point it’s not clear if Styles will get his wish when it comes to facing Edge at Mania, but he will get a chance to win the WWE Championship when he competes inside the Elimination Chamber later this month. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
