The Undertaker has put on his fair share of legendary performances at WrestleMania, and last year he faced off against AJ Styles in the first ever Boneyard Match. The Deadman managed to defeat The Phenomenal One, and Taker later followed up by announcing his retirement from in-ring competition.
The cinematic match received positive reviews from the wrestling community, and AJ Styles want to commemorate his match with The Undertaker by sending him a gift.
While talking to Ryan Satin on Out of Character, Styles revealed that he called Michelle McCool to get some advice on what to give The Undertaker, and both Superstars send each other gloves.
“I called his wife [former WWE Superstar Michelle McCool] and I was like, ‘Hey, what does he want? Because I need to get him something,’” Styles said. “She was just like, ‘Hey, well, give him your gloves. That would mean a lot to him if you signed a glove.’ I was like, ‘Alright.’ Michelle hooked me up. Hopefully that was a gift that he enjoyed. He actually sent his gloves to me with a very nice thank you letter, which meant the world to me.”
Following the announcement of his retirement The Undertaker officially said goodbye at the 2020 Survivor Series pay-per-view, so it appears that AJ Styles will forever be his last opponent.
