AJ Styles has spent most of his WWE run working as a singles competitor, but he did briefly form a tag team with Chris Jericho, and last year he managed to win the Raw Tag Team Titles with Omos.
During his time in TNA fans saw The Phenomenal One work with Abyss, real name Joseph Park, and the two briefly reunited during a segment on SmackDown in 2020 which saw Park appear as AJ’s statistician. The former WWE Champion recently spoke to Metro about his history with Abyss while noting that he wishes he could have worked with him in WWE.
“If it were up to me, I would’ve tagged with Abyss. Little things – Joseph A. Park, what a moment. I wish I could’ve had the opportunity to have him in a match here. It would’ve been great for him, and it would’ve been fun for me.”
Abyss now works behind the scenes in WWE, so it seems unlikely that we’ll ever see him and AJ work a match in a WWE ring, but you can never say never.
