AJ Styles hasn’t appeared on WWE programming since he was defeated by The Undertaker and buried alive at WrestleMania 36, but Styles returned to the ring on Monday Night Raw this week.
The Phenomenal One returned in the Last Chance Gauntlet Match and it came down to Humberto Carillo and AJ Styles.
In the end it was Styles who won the match when he made Humberto Carillo tap out to the calf crusher.
AJ Styles will now go on to face off against Daniel Bryan, King Corbin, Otis, Aleister Black and Rey Mysterio in the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
It’s been rumored that Styles could be returning as a face, but it’s worth noting that after the match was over he beat Humberto Carillo down then cut a heel promo.
