Dean Ambrose lost the WWE World Championship to AJ Styles at Backlash, and this week on SmackDown Live he got his one on one rematch for the title. Styles and Ambrose delivered during the main event of SmackDown with an action packed match.
John Cena made his way to the commentary table to observe from ringside and near the end of the match AJ Styles shoved John Cena. John then chased after Styles and hopped up on the ring apron, distracting the referee while Ambrose pinned Styles.
After AJ Styles kicked out Dean Ambrose went to the outside to attack John Cena. When Ambrose got back in the ring Styles rolled him up for the win.
After the match Cena got in the ring and argued with Dean Ambrose. Dean went for the Dirty Deeds but Cena reversed it into the Attitude Adjustment. AJ Styles then tried for the Styles Clash but Cena hit him with the AA as well.
John Cena held the WWE World Championship high over his head to end the show. AJ Styles will defend his WWE World Championship against John Cena and Dean Ambrose in a triple threat match at No Mercy on October 9th.
