AJ Styles is without a doubt one of WWE’s top stars, but unfortunately for The Phenomenal One he didn’t really have the best showing in this year’s 30 man Royal Rumble match.
According to PWInsider the two time WWE Champion suffered a left arm injury during the Royal Rumble match.
Styles entered the match at number 18, but he was the 17th elimination and he was eliminated by Edge who returned and entered the match at 21.
AJ reportedly suffered the injury when he landed awkwardly on his left shoulder after he was speared by Edge.
Styles was holding his arm when he came up and it appeared to be dangling.
Right before his elimination a ref hopped up on the apron to communicate with Edge, and then Edge eliminated Styles.
WWE officials and medical personnel attended to Styles and he was checked out as soon as he got backstage. He was seen with his arm wrapped up backstage and he was said to have been icing it.
The Phenomenal One is set to undergo tests to determine the severity of the injury and if he will need to take time off.
