AJ Styles faced off against John Cena at Money in the Bank on Sunday and it was Styles who got the victory over John Cena. At one point John Cena had Styles on his shoulders and Styles accidentally knocked out the referee with his foot. Cena hit Styles with the AA while the ref was down so there was no one there to count the pin.
While the ref was out Gallows and Anderson came down to the ring and hit John Cena with Magic Killer then placed AJ Styles on top of John Cena. The referee then woke up and counted the pin for AJ Styles.
After the match Tom Phillips caught up with AJ Styles to ask if he has any issues with the way he secured the victory. Styles says that the New Era can now begin because he defeated John Cena. You can see the rest of his comments in the video below.
Kevin Owens was unsuccessful in his attempt to win the Money in the Bank contract last night and after he lost the match Tom Phillips asked him for comments. Owens lashed out at Phillips for trying to interview him so soon after his match and you can see the encounter below.
