We’re only a few days away from the annual Royal Rumble pay-per-view and WWE has announced some interesting names for the women’s Royal Rumble match. It’s been confirmed that Hall of Famers Lita, The Bella Twins and Michelle McCool will be entering the women’s Royal Rumble, and current SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair will also be competing in the match.
When Charlotte Flair first announced herself for the match she declared that she would choose her own challenger for WrestleMania 38, but during a recent appearance on The Bump AJ Styles questioned why Charlotte is in women’s Royal Rumble.
“Can we jump back to the Women’s Rumble? Are you telling me that Becky and Charlotte are in the Rumble? [Gets corrected over the Becky comment] Why is Charlotte? Why? Just stand in the ring? Alright!”
While Charlotte Flair will be competing in the women’s Royal Rumble match at the event Becky Lynch will be defending her Raw Women’s Championship against Doudrop, so it will be interesting to see what the title picture looks like in the weeks leading up to WrestleMania.
As for AJ Styles it’s been confirmed that he will be competing in the men’s Royal Rumble match when the Royal Rumble pay-per-view airs live on Saturday, January 29th.
