We’re currently on the road to WrestleMania and every wrestling fan knows that the WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony is one of the biggest events that takes place during WrestleMania week.
So far two names have been confirmed for the 2026 Hall of Fame class as Stephanie McMahon was revealed as the first inductee last year at WrestlePalooza, and The Undertaker also confirmed AJ Styles will be inducted on Raw.
Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that the Hall of Fame announcement was a legitimate surprise for AJ Styles as WWE didn’t tell him about it ahead of time.
“That whole thing at the end with the Undertaker and the Hall of Fame announcement was a legitimate surprise to AJ, who they didn’t clue in,” Alvarez wrote.
As of this writing WWE has yet to reveal exact details regarding the date or location for this year’s Hall of Fame ceremony. However, it seems that the company has a big name in mind for the event as it was recently reported that WWE is hoping John Cena will induct AJ Styles.
Following his retirement match against Gunther at the Royal Rumble there’s been a lot of speculation regarding whether AJ is really done wrestling. This week on Raw, AJ addressed the speculation and said he’s a man of his word as he left his gloves and hooded vest in the ring.
